I used to be the kind of reader who read one book at a time.

Onward into 2009

There’s this shot in The Wrestler, a steadicam shot behind Mickey Rourke as he walks through the back offices of a grocery store out to the deli counter. It echoes many other shots in the movie, from better times for Randy “The Ram” Robinson, and the visual reference is unmistakeable and poignant

choice words in yesterday’s interview. There’s no doubt that the majority of us agree with his sentiment, but I can think of two quite influential people who won’t feel the same way.

Zune Feature Requests
Posted by Robert Feuring on

Ive been the proud owner of a black Zune 30 for a couple of years now. I think its great and I really dont foresee a need to get a Zune 80 since Ive never come close to using the 30GB of space available, even when Ive put a dozen or so movies on the thing. The upgrades in software have been nice, though I do miss the quick list feature that used to be there on the device.

Listening to podcasts in a car

I usually work downtown and I take the subway for my daily commute but in January, I’ll have to take my car to drive to my client. Last fall, I bought a new car radio with a mini audio jack to plug in an MP3 player and WMA/MP3 playback from a CD or a UBS device. All of this for a mere $99 and installed for free at BestBuy! I first plugged in my Zune in the mini jack but I found that it’s really not usable while driving since you need to use the player

Amazon Gives Me Free Music December 28th, 2008 by Dave Allen Not only does the Amazon MP3 store have hundreds of free MP3s and 256kb DRM-free at that, it is now ponying up $5 worth of free downloads to me just for buying music that I actually want. iTunes beware, I have quit you. Should I consider EMusic anyone?
